Trentham Brass Band was delighted to perform at the recent Trentham Scouts community event on Saturday 16th May, bringing live brass music, family entertainment, and a fantastic atmosphere to the heart of Trentham, Staffordshire.
Despite the dull weather conditions, the event attracted an excellent turnout from across the local community, with families, residents, supporters, and visitors all enjoying an afternoon packed with entertainment, food, games, and live music.
The Trentham Scouts event featured a wide range of attractions including local craft stalls, community activities, the traditional tombola, and a hugely popular Nerf Gun “Shoot the Cans” game that kept younger visitors entertained throughout the day. The vibrant BBQ area became a real focal point of the event, with the smell of freshly grilled burgers and hotdogs filling the air and adding to the lively outdoor atmosphere.
Performing from 11:30am until 1:00pm, Trentham Brass Band delivered an energetic and varied concert programme featuring popular chart hits, film music, musical theatre favourites, pop classics, and traditional brass band entertainment suitable for all ages.
The band’s exciting set list included audience favourites such as Amarillo, Shotgun, Sweet Dreams, Uptown Girl, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, I’m a Believer and Shut Up and Dance. Visitors also enjoyed iconic music from stage and screen including Tonight from West Side Story, Do-Re-Mi, the legendary James Bond Theme, and Ghostbusters.
Throughout the performance, the audience could be seen singing along, clapping, dancing, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere created by live brass music in the community. The combination of modern hits, classic favourites, and traditional brass band sound once again showcased why Trentham Brass Band continues to be a popular choice for local events, summer fairs, festivals, Scout events, charity functions, village fetes, concerts, and live entertainment across Staffordshire and the Midlands.

While the skies may have been grey, the atmosphere certainly wasn’t. The energy, excitement, community spirit, and fantastic support from everyone attending made the day a huge success and created a memorable experience for both the audience and the band.
